「ゴータマ尊者は、わたしの見解を称賛してくださった。ゴータマ尊者は、わたしの見解を推奨してくださった」と。
「アッギヴェッサナよ、しからば、『ある事柄はわたしに受け入れられ、ある事柄はわたしに受け入れられない』と、このように説き、このように見なす沙門・婆羅門たちがある。彼らにとって受け入れられるところの見解（diṭṭhi）、それはすなわち、貪欲（sārāga）に近く、束縛（saññoga）に近く、随喜（abhinandana）に近く、耽溺（ajjhosāna）に近く、執取（upādāna）に近いものである。彼らにとって受け入れられないところの見解、それはすなわち、離貪（asārāga）に近く、離縛（asaññoga）に近く、不随喜（anabhinandana）に近く、不耽溺（anajjhosāna）に近く、無執取（anupādāna）に近いものである。アッギヴェッサナよ、それらの沙門・婆羅門たち——ある事柄は受け入れられ、ある事柄は受け入れられないと説くそれらの者たち——の見解については……」
