「これら十の見解（ディッティ）はいずれも、見解の密林（ディッティガハナ）、見解の荒野（ディッティカンタータ）、見解の歪曲（ディッティヴィスーカ）、見解の惑乱（ディッティヴィッパンディタ）、見解の結縛（ディッティサンヨージャナ）にほかならない。それらは苦（ドゥッカ）を伴い、悩乱を伴い、苦悩を伴い、熱悩を伴うものである。それらは厭離（ニッビダー）へも、離欲（ヴィラーガ）へも、滅尽（ニローダ）へも、寂静（ウパサマ）へも、勝智（アビンニャー）へも、正覚（サンボーディ）へも、涅槃（ニッバーナ）へも導かぬものである。われはこの過患（アーディーナヴァ）を如実に見て、かくのごとき一切の見解をことごとく受け取らざるのである。」
「されば、尊者ゴータマには、何らかの見解がおありなのでしょうか。」
「ヴァッチャよ、見解というものは、如来（タターガタ）によってすでに除き去られたものである。そはいかんとなれば、ヴァッチャよ、如来はこのことを見たからである——『かくのごとくあるものは……』」
