while Vacchagotta took a low seat and sat to one side. Then Vacchagotta said to the Buddha: “Sir, I have heard this: ‘The ascetic Gotama claims to be all-knowing and all-seeing, to know and see everything without exception, thus: “Knowledge and vision are constantly and continually present to me, while walking, standing, sleeping, and waking.”’ I trust that those who say this repeat what the Buddha has said, and do not misrepresent him with an untruth? Is their explanation in line with the teach
そのころ、遍歴行者（パリッバージャカ）のヴァッチャゴッタもまた、一つの低い座を取り、かたわらに坐した。かたわらに坐したヴァッチャゴッタは、世尊にこのように申し上げた。
「尊師よ、わたくしはかねてよりこのように聞き及んでおります。『沙門ゴータマは一切知（サバッニュー）にして一切見（サバダッサーウィー）であり、残りなき知見（ニャーナダッサナ）を自ら認められる。すなわち、「わが知見は、歩むときも、立つときも、眠るときも、覚めるときも、常に絶えることなく現れている」と』。尊師よ、かくのごとく述べる人々は、じつに世尊の説かれたところを繰り返すものであり、虚偽をもって世尊を誹謗するものではないのでしょうか。また、その説明は教えに即したものと
