「世尊よ、私どもの教法（ダンマ）は世尊を根本とし、世尊を導き手とし、世尊を帰依処（サラナ）といたします。どうか世尊よ、この仰せの意味を世尊御自身にお示しくださいますよう。比丘（びく）たちは世尊の御言葉を聞いて、よく憶持（おくじ）いたすことでしょう。」
