戒禁取（sīlabbataparāmāsa）に心が覆われることなく、とらわれることなく、生じた戒禁取からの出離を、ありのままに了知する。かくして、その戒禁取は、潜在的随眠とともに、彼において捨断される。
アーナンダよ、五つの下分結（orambhāgiya-saṃyojana）を捨断するための道（magga）と修道（paṭipadā）がある。その道、その修道に依りて、五つの下分結を知り、見て、捨断すること――これは、まことに起こりうることである。
