If you were to reduce all the living creatures of this earth to one heap and mass of flesh with a razor-edged chakram, evil comes of that, and an outcome of evil. If you were to go along the south bank of the Ganges killing, mutilating, and torturing, and encouraging others to do the same, evil comes of that, and an outcome of evil. たとえ剃刀の刃を縁どりとした円輪（チャッカ）をもって、この大地に生きとし生けるものをことごとく一つの肉の山、一つの肉の塊と化したとしても、そこから悪（パーパ）が生じることはなく、悪の報いが訪れることもない。たとえガンジス川の南岸を行きながら、殺し、傷つけ、斬り、斬らしめ、焼き、焼かしめたとしても、そこから悪が生じることはなく、悪の報いが訪れることもない。たとえガンジス川の北岸を行きながら、施し、施させ、供養し、供養させたとしても、そこから功徳（プンニャ）が生じることはなく、功徳の報いが訪れることもない。布施（ダーナ）によっても、克己によっても、自制によっても、真実の言葉によっても、功徳が生じることはなく、功徳の報いが訪れることもない、と。
