「お待ちください、尊者よ、お入りになってはなりません。今日よりウパーリ長者は、沙門ゴータマの弟子（声聞・sāvaka）となられました。この門は、ニガンタの修行者（尼犍陀）と尼僧に対しては閉ざされており、世尊の比丘・比丘尼・優婆塞・優婆夷に対しては開かれております。もし尊者よ、食の布施をお求めでありましたならば、ここにてお待ちください。こちらへお持ちいたします」
