「願わくは、われらがかくも美味なる施食をもって、来たる世にも在家の方々にお仕えできますように」と。
「さようでございます、尊師よ。尊師よ、わたくしはかねてより『梵天（ぼんてん）は慈（じ）に住する』と聞き及んでおりました。しかるに今、この目をもって世尊を拝し奉るに、まさしく世尊こそが慈に住しておられると知られるのでございます」
「そもそも如来（にょらい）においては、瞋恚（しんに）を生ずるもととなる貪（とん）・瞋（じん）・癡（ち）は、すでに捨断せられ、根を断たれ、幹のみ残る棕櫚（しゅろ）の如く伐り倒され、滅ぼし尽くされて、未来においてふたたび生じることなき法（ほう）となっておる。ジーヴァカよ、もしそなたがその意をもって語ったのであれば、わたしはそれを認めよう」
