buying and selling; falsifying weights, metals, or measures; bribery, fraud, cheating, and duplicity; mutilation, murder, abduction, banditry, plunder, and violence. They give up unchastity. 売買を離れ、秤の偽り・金属の偽り・度量の偽りを離れ、賄賂・詐欺・欺瞞・策略を離れ、切断・殺害・拘縛・掠奪・略奪・暴力を離れる。非梵行（あぶらふぎょう）を捨て、梵行（ぼんぎょう）を修め、遠く離れて、卑俗なる淫事を避ける。妄語（もうご）を捨て、妄語を離れ、真実を語り、真実に徹し、誠実にして信頼に足り、世間を言葉によって欺くことがない。両舌（りょうぜつ）を捨て、両舌を離れ、こちらで聞いたことをかの人々を引き裂かんがために彼処（かしこ）にて告げることなく、彼処で聞いたことをこの人々を引き裂かんがためにこちらにて告げることない。
