「これらの法（ダンマ）は、互いに混じり合っているのでしょうか、それとも分かれているのでしょうか。また、これらの法を一つ一つ解きほぐして、その相違を説明することはできるのでしょうか。」
「友よ、慧（パンニャー）と識（ヴィンニャーナ）と――これらの法は混じり合っており、分かれてはいない。これらの法を一つ一つ解きほぐして、その相違を説明することは、ついにできないのである。およそ了知する（パジャーナーティ）ところのものを、識知し（ヴィジャーナーティ）、識知するところのものを、了知する。それゆえに、これらの法は混じり合っており、分かれてはいない。これらの法を一つ一つ解きほぐして、その相違を説明することは、ついにできないのである。」
