The unshakable release of the heart is said to be the best kind of limitless release of the heart. That unshakable release of the heart is empty of greed, hate, and delusion. Greed is something, hate is something, and delusion is something. A mendicant who has ended the defilements has given these up, cut them off at the root, made them like a palm stump, and obliterated them, so they are unable to arise in the future. 友よ、量り知れない心の解脱（cetovimutti）がいかに多くあろうとも、それらのうち、不動の心の解脱こそが最勝（aggam）と説かれる。かの不動の心の解脱は、貪（rāga）を空じ、瞋（dosa）を空じ、癡（moha）を空じたものである。
友よ、貪はある種の束縛（kiñcana）であり、瞋もまた束縛であり、癡もまた束縛である。これらは、諸漏（āsava）を滅し尽くした比丘においては、すでに捨て離られ、根を断ち切られ、根こそぎにされること棕櫚の切り株のごとく、滅し去られて、未来において再び生ずることなき法となっている。
友よ、無所有（ākiñcañña）の心の解脱がいかに多くあろうとも、それらのうち、不動の心の解脱こそが最勝と説かれる。かの不動の心の解脱は、貪を空じ、瞋を空じ、癡を空じたものである。
