When you say, ‘Form is my self,’ do you have power over that form to say: ‘May my form be like this! May it not be like that’?” When he said this, Saccaka kept silent. 「もし汝が『色（しき）はわが自己（アッター）なり』と言うならば、その色に対して、『わが色はかくあれ、わが色はかくあらざれ』と意のままにし得るか」と。
かく問われて、サッチャカ・ニガンタの子は沈黙した。世尊は再びサッチャカ・ニガンタの子に同じ問いを発せられた。
そのとき、金剛手（ヴァジラパーニ）の夜叉（ヤッカ）は、燃えさかり、赤々と輝き、光を放つ鉄の金剛杵（ヴァジラ）を手に取り、サッチャカ・ニガンタの子の頭上の虚空に立ちて、かく念じていた。「もしこのサッチャカが、世尊より三度にわたって道理にかなった問いを問われながら、なお答えを返さないならば、まさにその場で彼の頭を七つに砕き割らん」と。
この金剛手の夜叉の姿は、世尊にも、またサッチャカ・ニガンタの子にも、ともに見えていた。
