“Good, good! There is no better or finer way of meditating comfortably than this.” Then the Buddha educated, encouraged, fired up, and inspired the venerables Anuruddha, Nandiya, and Kimbila with a Dhamma talk, after which he got up from his seat and left. 「善いかな、善いかな、アヌルッダよ。この安楽なる住（ヴィハーラ）に勝り、またはこれより優れた安楽の住は、他に存在しないのである。」
かくして世尊（バガヴァント）は、アヌルッダ尊者、ナンディヤ尊者、キミラ尊者の三人に対し、法（ダンマ）の教えをもって、示し、勧め、奮い立たせ、喜ばしめたまい、その後、座より立ち上がり、その場を去られた。
さてそのとき、アヌルッダ尊者、ナンディヤ尊者、キミラ尊者の三人は、ゴシンガのサーラ樹の林苑に住しておられた。三尊者は世尊をしばらくのあいだ見送り奉り、そしてそこより引き返した。ナンディヤ尊者とキミラ尊者はアヌルッダ尊者に向かってこう申し上げた。「尊者よ、我々はかつて……」
