At Sāvatthī. There the Buddha said: “Rightly speaking, mendicants, you’d call these five hindrances a ‘heap of the unskillful’. For these five hindrances are entirely a heap of the unskillful. What five? The hindrances of sensual desire, ill will, dullness and drowsiness, restlessness and remorse, and doubt. Rightly speaking, you’d call these five hindrances a ‘heap of the unskillful’. For these five hindrances are entirely a heap of the unskillful. Rightly speaking, you’d call these four kinds
舎衛城にて。そこで世尊はかく説かれた。「比丘たちよ、この五蓋を『不善の集積』と正しく呼ぶならば、それは実に相応しいことである。なんとなれば、この五蓋はことごとく不善の集積に他ならないからである。五とは何か。すなわち、欲貪の蓋、瞋恚の蓋、惛沈・睡眠の蓋、掉挙・悪作の蓋、そして疑の蓋である。比丘たちよ、この五蓋を『不善の集積』と正しく呼ぶならば、それは実に相応しいことである。なんとなれば、この五蓋はことごとく不善の集積に他ならないからである。また、この四つの
