“Mendicants, when four things are developed and cultivated they lead to penetrating wisdom. What four? Associating with true persons, listening to the true teaching, rational application of mind, and practicing in line with the teaching. When these four things are developed and cultivated they lead to penetrating wisdom.” The Linked Discourses on Stream-Entry, the eleventh section.
「比丘たちよ、四つのことを修習し、多く修めるならば、それは明察の智慧へと導く。いかなる四つであるか。善人への親近、正法の聴聞、如理作意、そして法随法行である。これら四つのことを修習し、多く修めるならば、それは明察の智慧へと導くのである。」預流相応、第十一章。
