At Sāvatthī. Now at that time the householder Anāthapiṇḍika was sick, suffering, gravely ill. Then he addressed a man, “Please, my friend, go to Venerable Sāriputta, and in my name bow with your head to his feet. Say to him: ‘Sir, the householder Anāthapiṇḍika is sick, suffering, gravely ill. 舎衛城にての事なり。その折、居士アナータピンディカは病に伏し、苦しみ、重篤の状にあった。そこで彼はある者に告げた。「友よ、どうか尊者舎利弗のもとへ赴き、我が名をもって、その御足に頭を垂れて礼拝してほしい。そして申し上げてほしい。『尊者よ、居士アナータピンディカは病に伏し、苦しみ、重篤の状にございます。謹んで御足に頭を垂れて礼拝申し上げます』と。さらに続けて申し上げてほしい。『尊者よ、何卒、哀愍の心をもって、居士の居宅へお運びくださいますよう』と。」……邪見なく……邪思惟なく……邪語なく……邪業なく……邪命なく……邪精進なく……邪
