At Sāvatthī. Then Venerable Ānanda robed up in the morning and, taking his bowl and robe, entered Sāvatthī for alms. He saw the brahmin Jānussoṇi driving out of Sāvatthī in an all-white chariot drawn by mares. The yoked horses were pure white, as were the ornaments, chariot, upholstery, reins, goad, and canopy. 舎衛城にての事なり。その朝、尊者アーナンダは衣を整え、鉢と衣を携えて托鉢のため舎衛城に入られた。そこで婆羅門ジャーヌッソーニが、牝馬に引かれた純白の車に乗り、舎衛城より出でゆくのを目にされた。繋がれた馬は純白にして、飾り物も、車体も、内張りも、手綱も、鞭も、天蓋も、ことごとく白かりき。また彼の頭巾も、衣も、履物も白く、傍らに侍る白拂もまた白かりき。これを見た人々は声を上げて言えり。「ああ、なんと神々しき乗り物よ！これぞ神にふさわしき乗り物なり！」善き哉、
