「比丘たちよ、六つの接触の場（六触処）の生起・滅没・味わい・危難・出離を如実に了知せぬ者は、梵行を完成しておらず、この法と律より遠く隔たっている。」
このように仰せになると、一人の比丘が世尊に申し上げた。「尊師よ、私はまさに落胆しております。なぜなら、六つの接触の場の生起・滅没・味わい・危難・出離を如実に了知していないからでございます。」
「比丘よ、どう思うか。汝は眼をこのように見なすか。『これは——』」
