「比丘たちよ、過去と未来の眼は無常である。身もまた然り……過去と未来の意は無常である。現在においてはなおさらのことである。このことを見て、多聞の聖なる弟子は、過去の意について憂えることなく、未来の意を享受しようと望むこともない。そして現在の意については、厭離・離欲・滅尽に向けて修行するのである。」
このことを見て、多聞の聖なる弟子は、過去の眼について心を煩わせることなく、未来の眼を享受しようと望むこともない。
