Sāvatthinidānaṁ. ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, ‘valāhakakāyikā devā’”ti. “Valāhakakāyike vo, bhikkhave, deve desessāmi. Taṁ suṇātha. Katame ca, bhikkhave, valāhakakāyikā devā? Santi, bhikkhave, sītavalāhakā devā; santi uṇhavalāhakā devā; santi abbhavalāhakā devā; santi vātavalāhakā devā; santi vassavalāhakā devā—
At Sāvatthī. These are called gods of the thundercloud host.” “Mendicants, I will teach you about the gods of the thundercloud host. Listen … And what are the gods of the thundercloud host? There are gods of the cool thunderclouds, warm thunderclouds, stormy thunderclouds, windy thunderclouds, and rainy thunderclouds.
舎衛城にて。「これらは雷雲衆の神々と呼ばれる。」「比丘たちよ、我は汝らに雷雲衆の神々について説かん。よく聴くがよい……では、雷雲衆の神々とは何か。涼風の雷雲に宿る神々、温気の雷雲に宿る神々、嵐風の雷雲に宿る神々、旋風の雷雲に宿る神々、そして慈雨の雷雲に宿る神々がある。」
