Sāvatthinidānaṁ. “Yo, bhikkhave, cakkhusmiṁ chandarāgo, cittasseso upakkileso. Yo sotasmiṁ chandarāgo, cittasseso upakkileso. Yo ghānasmiṁ chandarāgo, cittasseso upakkileso. Yo jivhāya chandarāgo, cittasseso upakkileso. Yo kāyasmiṁ chandarāgo, cittasseso upakkileso. Yo manasmiṁ chandarāgo, cittasseso upakkileso. At Sāvatthī. “Mendicants, desire and greed for the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, or mind is a corruption of the mind. When a mendicant has given up mental corruption in these six cases, their mind inclines to renunciation. A mind imbued with renunciation is said to be fit for work regarding anything that can be realized by insight.”
舎衛城にて。「比丘たちよ、眼・耳・鼻・舌・身・意に対する欲貪は、心の随煩悩である。比丘がこれら六つの随煩悩を断じ尽くしたならば、その心は出離へと傾く。出離に満たされた心は、いかなる現観すべき事柄に対しても、修行に堪えうると説かれる。」
