Sāvatthinidānaṁ. “Yo kho, bhikkhave, rūpataṇhāya uppādo ṭhiti …pe… yo dhammataṇhāya uppādo ṭhiti abhinibbatti pātubhāvo, dukkhasseso uppādo, rogānaṁ ṭhiti, jarāmaraṇassa pātubhāvo. Yo ca kho, bhikkhave, rūpataṇhāya nirodho …pe… yo dhammataṇhāya nirodho vūpasamo atthaṅgamo, dukkhasseso nirodho, rogānaṁ vūpasamo, jarāmaraṇassa atthaṅgamo”ti.
At Sāvatthī. “Mendicants, the arising of craving for sights … craving for ideas … is the manifestation of old age and death. The cessation of craving for sights … craving for ideas … is the disappearance of old age and death.”
舎衛城にて。「比丘たちよ、色に対する渇愛の生起は……法に対する渇愛の生起は……老死の顕現に他ならない。色に対する渇愛の滅尽は……法に対する渇愛の滅尽は……老死の消滅に他ならない。」
