At Sāvatthī. choices … consciousness; and any attraction, grasping, mental fixation, insistence, and underlying tendencies— this is called the leash to existence. 舎衛城にて。意志的行為……識、およびいかなる執着、取著、心の固執、主張、ならびに随眠——これを有の繋縛と呼ぶ。それらの滅尽が、有の繋縛の滅尽である。」
長老ラーダは、かたわらに座して世尊にこう申し上げた。「尊師よ、人々は『有の繋縛の滅尽』というものを説きます。では、有の繋縛とは何であり、有の繋縛の滅尽とは何でありましょうか。」
