サーヴァッティーにおいて。そのとき、尊者カッパは仏陀のもとに近づき、礼拝して一側に座し、こう申し上げた。「世尊よ、いかに知り、いかに見ることによって、この識身に関しても、外なるすべての相に関しても、我執・我所執・慢の随眠が生じなくなるのでしょうか。」「カッパよ、いかなる色も——過去・未来・現在、内なるものも外なるものも、粗大なるものも微細なるものも、劣なるものも勝れたるものも、遠きものも近きものも——すなわち**一切の色**を、正智をもって如実に観るのである。『これは我がものにあらず、我はこれにあらず、これは我が自我にあらず』と。」
