So I have heard. At Sāvatthī. “Mendicants, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are impermanent. Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness. Being disillusioned, desire fades away. When desire fades away they’re freed. かくのごとく、われは聞けり。一時、世尊はサーヴァッティーに在しましき。
「比丘たちよ、色・受・想・行・識は無常なり。かくのごとく観ずるとき、多聞の聖なる弟子は、色・受・想・行・識に対して厭離の心を生ずるなり。厭離するがゆえに、欲貪は滅し去る。欲貪の滅するがゆえに、解脱を得る。解脱を得るとき、解脱せりという智が生ずる。かれはかくのごとく了知す。『生は尽き、梵行はすでに成就し、なすべきことはすでになされ、もはやこの世に再び生を受くることなし』と。」
