舎衛城にての事なり。時に尊者羅睺羅、世尊のもとに参り、礼拝して一傍に坐し、かく申し上げた。「世尊よ、いかに知り、いかに見れば、この識身につきても、また外なるすべての相につきても、我造り・我所造り、また慢の随眠なきことを得るのでございましょうか。」「羅睺羅よ、いかなる色も――過去・未来・現在、内なるものも外なるものも、粗なるものも微細なるものも、劣なるものも勝れたるものも、遠きものも近きものも――すなわち**一切の色**を、正しき智慧をもって如実に観ずるがよい。『これはわが所有にあらず、われはこれにあらず、これはわが我にあらず』と。
