「親愛なる亀よ、そなたはあの場所へ行かなかったであろうな」と彼は言った。「参りました」「しかし親愛なる亀よ、そなたは傷つき、害を受けてはおるまいな」「傷ついてもおらず、害を受けてもおりません。ただ、この紐が後ろへと引きずられ続けております」「まことに、親愛なる亀よ、そなたは傷つき、害を受けておるのじゃ。そなたの父も祖父も、このような紐のゆえに、禍いと災難に遭ったのじゃ。さあ行くがよい、そなたはもはや我らの仲間ではない」
利養と恭敬と名聞とは、恐ろしく、苦く、粗暴なるものである……
