“Mendicants, a mendicant is faithful but not ethical. 「比丘たちよ、ある比丘が信心はあれども持戒を欠くならば、その者はその点において不完全であり、『いかにして信心と持戒を具えた者となり得るか』と思念しつつ、これを満たすよう努めるべきである。比丘が信心と持戒を具えたとき、その者はその点において完全である。ある比丘が信心と持戒はあれども多聞を欠くならば、その者はその点において不完全であり、『いかにして信心と持戒と多聞を具えた者となり得るか』と思念しつつ、これを満たすよう努めるべきである。比丘が信心と持戒と多聞を具えたとき、その者はその点において完全である。
