五つの性質を備えた在家の信者は、自信を持つことができない。いかなる五つか。生き物を殺し、盗み、邪淫を犯し、妄語を語り、酒・果実酒・蒸留酒などの酔いをもたらすものを飲む、これである。かかる五つの性質を備えた在家の信者は、自信を持つことができない。
五つの性質を備えた在家の信者は、自信を持つことができる。いかなる五つか。生き物を殺さず、盗まず、邪淫を犯さず、妄語を語らず、酒・果実酒・蒸留酒などの酔いをもたらすものを飲まない、これである。かかる五つの性質を備えた在家の信者は、自信を持つことができる。
