比丘たちよ、沙門にとっての五種の苦しみがある。いかなる五種であるか。ここに一人の比丘がいて、いかなる衣服にも、托鉢食にも、臥坐処にも、病者のための薬や資具にも満足せず、不満の中にあって梵行を歩む。これが沙門にとっての五種の苦しみである。
比丘たちよ、沙門にとっての五種の安楽がある。いかなる五種であるか。ここに一人の比丘がいて、いかなる衣服にも、托鉢食にも、臥坐処にも、病者のための薬や資具にも満足し、そのうえで梵行を歩む。これが沙門にとっての五種の安楽である。
