比丘たちよ、ここに四つの事柄がある。これらの事柄が整ったとき、その機を活かすいかなる神や人も、やがて広大にして豊かな財を得るであろう。その四つとは何か。適切な地に住むこと、真人に依止すること、自らが正しく発願すること、そして過去の功徳である。これらが四つの事柄である。これらの事柄が整ったとき、その機を活かすいかなる神や人も、やがて広大にして豊かな財を得るであろう。人が適切な地に住み、善き友と交わるとき——
