「世において、誰が諍いを離れているのか。誰の生は空しく費やされることなきや。誰がここに於いて、欲望を完全に了知するのか。誰が常に自らの主として生きるのか。誰に向かって、母も父も兄弟も、その者が確立されたとき、礼拝するのか。また誰が、たとえ賤しき生まれであっても、貴族たちすらも頭を垂れるのか。」
