Not fighting among those who fight, quenched among those who have taken up arms, not grasping among those who grasp: that’s who I declare a brahmin.
争う者どもの中にあって争わず、武器を執りし者どもの中にあって寂滅し、執着する者どもの中にあって執着せぬ者――かかる人をこそ、我は婆羅門と説くなり。
