But if they’ve cut that out, dug it up at the root, eradicated it, that wise one, purged of vice, is said to be holy.
たとえそれを断ち切り、根より掘り起こし、余すところなく滅し尽くしたならば、悪(あく)を離れ清められたその智者(ちしゃ)こそ、真に聖者(しょうじゃ)と呼ばれるにふさわしい。
