Not by mere enunciation, or a beautiful complexion does a person become holy, if they’re jealous, stingy, and devious.
口先だけの言葉や、美しい容姿をもってしても、人は聖者（せいじゃ）となることはできない。妬（ねた）み深く、物惜しみをし、狡猾（こうかつ）な心を抱くならば。
