Better to live a single day seeing the supreme teaching than to live a hundred years blind to the supreme teaching.
たとえ百年を生きようとも、最上の教えを見ることなくして盲（めしい）のごとく過ごすよりは、ただ一日を生きるとも、最上の法（ダンマ）を見て過ごす方が、はるかに勝（まさ）れり。
