Like a fish pulled from the sea and cast upon the shore, this mind flounders about, trying to throw off Māra’s dominion.
海より引き揚げられ、岸辺に投げ捨てられた魚のごとく、この心（こころ）は魔（マーラ）の支配を振り払わんとして、もがき苦しむのである。
