ダンマパダ 第26章 婆羅門品（偈387）
The sun blazes by day, the moon radiates at night, the aristocrat shines in armor, and the brahmin shines in absorption. But all day and all night, the Buddha blazes with glory.
太陽は昼に赫々と輝き、月は夜に清光を放つ。刹帝利は甲冑に身を固めて威光を放ち、婆羅門は禅定の中にて輝く。しかれども、仏陀はその威徳と光明をもって、昼も夜も絶えることなく燦然と輝き給うのである。
