Cut down the jungle, not just a tree; from the jungle springs fear. Having cut down jungle and snarl, be free of jungles, mendicants!
一本の樹木のみを断つことなかれ、密林（みつりん）をこそ断ち伐れ。密林より恐怖は生ずるなり。密林と密林の絡まりを断ち伐りて、密林より解き放たれよ、比丘（びく）たちよ。
