From meditation springs wisdom, without meditation, wisdom ends. Knowing these two paths— of progress and decline— you should conduct yourself so that wisdom grows.
瞑想（めいそう）より智慧（ちえ）は生じ、瞑想なければ智慧は滅す。この二つの道を知れ——向上の道と衰退の道とを。汝はよろしく智慧の育まれるよう、己が身を修めるべし。
