ダンマパダ 第18章 垢品（偈252）
It’s easy to see the faults of others, hard to see one’s own. For the faults of others are tossed high like hay, while one’s own are hidden, as a cheat hides a bad hand.
他人の過ちは見えやすく、己の過ちは見えがたし。
他人の過ちは藁（わら）を高く投げ上ぐるが如く目に明らかなれど、
己の過ちは、賭け事師（ごとし）が悪しき手札を隠すが如く、
深く覆い隠されているものである。
